Ghanaian singer Moliy has won World Artist of the Year at the iHeartRadio Music Awards 2026, marking a major international milestone for the country’s music industry.
The awards ceremony took place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California, where the Ghanaian-American artist beat several global nominees to secure the prize.
Among those nominated in the category were Nigerian star Ayra Starr, South African singer Tyla, Chinese artist Jackson Wang and Japanese pop group JO1.
Moliy, who was born in Accra, Ghana, rose to international prominence with the hit song Sad Girlz Luv Money, which gained global attention after a remix featuring Kali Uchis went viral on social media platforms.
